A Bloggy Meme

Kim at Jogging in Circles tagged me with a neat meme. Plus I got to be amazed & find out that she's still a relatively new blogger! I can't believe it! If you don't already read her blog, do so now, so you can say "I knew her when she was just starting out". Seriously.

How long have you been blogging?
Somewhat actively since November of 2007.

What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors?
I originally started up my blog in July; I was upset about my search for long lost friends & just needed a place to vent. I then abandoned it till early November when I decided blogging might be fun! I have many mentors around the blogosphere; I learn new and exciting things every day.

Are you trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun?
Blogging is therapeutic and fun. I like feeling as though I have a responsibility to get online and post. I am setting up my etsy shop, though, so maybe I can make a little extra money to support my craft addiction. I don't expect to get rich, just maybe keep my hubby off my case about shopping so much!

What 3 things do you love about being online?
1. Friends- my life is so filled with kiddie shows & entertaining a toddler, that I don't get out very often. My online friends help me feel connected to other adults.
2. Shopping! I can buy anything, from anywhere. I adore online shopping. The UPS man knows my name & stops to chat, he's at my house almost every day!
3. I can do it at my leisure! I don't have to get all dolled up (or showered or changed, for that matter). I can change the baby, play with her, and blog when I have a minute. Laundry still gets done, and kids still get fed (usually!).


What 3 things do you struggle with online?
1. My parentheses and excessive use of exclamation points and etceteras can be annoying.
2. I am even less inclined to get out of the house. Why go anywhere? My friends all live in my computer!
3. Figuring how much of real life frustrations to share. I want this blog to be fun, funny, and tell about realities, but sometimes those really deep things just don't "fit". I guess that's why I created my second blog. I can see why people start multiples. They all seem to have different purposes!
